Sealing Products
Self-loosening of nuts and bolts can cause companies huge problems with down time and send maintenance and repairs costs spiralling out of control.
We have helped companies overcome product performance issues and reduce the amount of down time or time spent checking nuts and bolt heads in high vibration applications. We can advise and assist you choosing the right product for the cost of the application and the environment that your product will be operating in.
We work with a wide range of companies in differing industries to help prevent bolt loosening and provide them with cost effective solutions to meet their specific requirements.
O-Rings
The most basic shape of an O-ring is a simple circular sealing torus, usually made from an elastomeric material. Beyond the standard O-ring, we can supply more advanced sealing designs such as Quad Rings®, which are specially designed for low pressure sealing. We work with the market leading manufacturers to bring our customers the option of cutting edge materials and development opportunities for existing products.
Materials
- EPDM (Ethlylene Propylene Diene Monomer)
- FEPM (Tetrafluoroethylene/Propylene Rubber)
- FFKM (Perfluoroelastomers)
- FKM (Fluoroelastomers or Fluorocarbons)
- FVMQ (Fluorosilicones)
- HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber)
- NBR (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Rubber)
- VMQ (Silicone Rubber)
Back Up Rings
Single Turn (Scarf Cut)
Multi-turn (Spiral Cut)
Solid (Uncut)
Back-up rings are installed to prevent extrusion of the O-ring. Two back-up rings - one either side of the O-ring in its housing - are needed when the application is double acting.
They are normally recommended for applications where:
- Pressure of the fluid medium exceeds 10MPa
- O-rings of low strength elastomer are used
- Adverse mechanical conditions prevail

Rotor Clip - Circlips
We offer a full range of metric and Imperial circlips, E-clips and Groove rings. The most common form of axially fitted circlips for shafts with grooves.
Constructed as curved beams of uniform strength, the radial width is reduced towards the free ends so that a constantly round shape is maintained throughout continuous use. This form of circlip often used in assemblies subjected to strong centrifugal forces, is also secure against high rotational speeds. Lugs with holes are provided for rapid fitting or removal with circlip pliers which we can also supply if required.
Styles
- External Circlip (Din 471 – Metric) (N1400 - Imperial)
- Internal Circlip (Din 472 – Metric) (N1500 - Imperial)
- Internal Inverted Circlip (M1308 – Metric)
- Heavy Duty External Circlip (Din 471H – Metric) (N1460 – Imperial)
- E-Clips (Din 6799 – Metric) (N1500 – Imperial)

Rotor Clip - Retaining Rings
Spiral retaining rings can either be single or multi-turn, depending on the application requirements. Multi-turn, spiral-wound retaining rings consist of two or more turns of in-house rolled flat wire material with rounded edges. The material is coiled on edge to provide a gapless ring with 360º of retention. Spiral rings offer space savings in a radial direction since there are no assembly lugs as with tapered retaining rings.

- Stainless 17/4 PH
- Inconel 718 / X750
Rotor Clip Tru-Wave Springs
Single Turn
Used in applications requiring short deflection with low to medium forces. Offered in a number of waves, material thicknesses and bore / rod diameters.
Multi Turn
Used for low to medium force applications with greater travel compared to single turn springs. Utilizes nearly half the space as helical compression spring while producing the same force.
Materials
- Carbon Spring Steel
- Stainless 302
- Stainless 316
- Stainless 17/4 PH
- Inconel 718 / X750
Shims and Shim Sets
A shim is a thin and often tapered or wedged piece of material, used to fill small gaps or spaces between objects. Shims are typically used in order to support, adjust for better fit, or provide a level surface. Shims may also be used as spacers to fill gaps between parts subject to wear.
We can produce a Shim Set based on many different thicknesses to enable you to get the perfect fit where the application tolerance may increase or decrease between different batches or due to different atmospheric / temperature variations.
Seal Kits
Helping our customers develop faster and safer ways to get their products to field locations across the world has meant that we have invested in cutting edge skin packing equipment for sealing and protecting O-Ring and Back-Up ring replacement kits. They are backed onto card using a thin layer of plastic to protect the product during storing and transit to the field. We also produce a shadow part to enable the operators on site to see that they have replaced all parts in the order required and easy peel tabs to do away with the need for a knife, increasing both safety and the risk of cutting the vital O-Ring.
All of our kits come with a bespoke label and detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) stating batch and Cure Date for all O-Rings. We also have a large discard date on the outer packaging based on the part that will perish first.
